The International Society of Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, in collaboration with the World Heart Federation, announces the 53rd Ten-Day International Teaching Seminar on Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, scheduled to take place from October 13th to 24th, 2024, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The seminar is co-hosted by RemediumOne and the University of Kelaniya, a leading clinical research partnership with a 15-year track record of excellence in cardiovascular disease research. The seminar aims to accept approximately 36 fellows, with final selection to be made by the society's seminar committee.

The nominees are expected to have attained at least the postgraduate level with residency training or its equivalent and be interested in cardiovascular disease epidemiology. Preference will be given to younger candidates with little or no formal training in epidemiology. Tuition, board, and accommodation are provided without cost to fellows. Fellows and their sponsors are responsible for their own travel costs to the seminar.

FLUENCY IN ENGLISH IS AN ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL

In case any accepted fellow is unable to attend, the institution may not send a substitute who has not been reviewed by the Seminar Committee.

Application Format

There is no formal application form. Applications should consist of the following:

  1. A personal letter of application from the nominee
  2. The applicant's brief curriculum vitae
  3. Signed letter of nomination by the head of the department or institution, or another relevant sponsor.

Last date to apply is May 31, 2024.
